AN ADVENTURE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Meet Ben, an 11 year old want-to-be plumber fed up with spending his Friday nights at Granny’s. All she wants to do is play Scrabble and eat cabbage – not exactly his idea of fun!
Hungry and bored Ben goes searching for something more edible in the kitchen and stumbles upon an old biscuit tin. The tin holds more than just digestives, however; it contains Granny’s biggest secret…
Ben’s Granny is an international jewel thief, and she needs his help to pull off her biggest heist yet, stealing the crown jewels!
Heartbreak Productions invites you to share in this outdoor production of David Walliams’ bestselling tale full of forbidden fun. Join us, Ben, and his Gangsta Granny on their grandest adventure. This exciting escapade will be very hungry work, so come prepared with picnics, something to sit on, and definitely dress for the weather.
Recommended Age: 7+
Running Time: 2 Hours including interval
Heartbreak Productions is committed to keeping our summer tours as inclusive as possible. Therefore we allocate 100 spots at our city matinees for Pay What You Can tickets (suggested donation £5 per person). Due to the popularity of the David Walliams shows, and in order to avoid disappointing families at the venue, we will be allocating tickets via a lottery this year for Gangsta Granny instead of allocating tickets on a walk-up first come first serve basis. To enter the lottery please fill in this form. The lottery draw will take place one week before the show date, and the winners will be notified by email. To claim your tickets you must respond to the email no later than 24 hours before the show date or your tickets will be reallocated. If fewer than 100 seats are requested via the lottery, the remaining tickets will be held on the gate for walk up Pay What You Can. The Heartbreak website and social media pages will keep you informed if there are any PWYC tickets remaining after the lottery draw. Tickets are only available at the following venues: Jesmond Dene, Newcastle; Jephson Gardens, Leamington Spa, The Botanical Gardens, Sheffield; Roundhay Park, Leeds; Fletcher Moss Botanical Gardens, Manchester
